“A wise and fresh approach to mindful parenting.”
—Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance
A kinder, more compassionate world starts with kind and compassionate kids. In Raising Good Humans, you’ll find powerful and practical strategies to break free from “reactive parenting” habits and raise kind, cooperative, and confident kids.
Whether you’re running late for school, trying to get your child to eat their vegetables, or dealing with an epic meltdown in the checkout line at a grocery store—being a parent is hard work! And, as parents, many of us react in times of stress without thinking—often by yelling. But what if, instead of always reacting on autopilot, you could respond thoughtfully in those moments, keep your cool, and get from A to B on time and in one piece?
With this book, you’ll find powerful mindfulness skills for calming your own stress response when difficult emotions arise. You’ll also discover strategies for cultivating respectful communication, effective conflict resolution, and reflective listening. In the process, you’ll learn to examine your own unhelpful patterns and ingrained reactions that reflect the generational habits shaped by your parents, so you can break the cycle and respond to your children in more skillful ways.
When children experience a parent reacting with kindness and patience, they learn to act with kindness as well—thereby altering generational patterns for a kinder, more compassionate future. With this essential guide, you’ll see how changing your own “autopilot reactions” can create a lasting positive impact, not just for your kids, but for generations to come.
An essential, must-read for all parents—now more than ever.

This book has a lot of great information. It has helped me become less reactive as a parent. It does have some “homework” throughout, but it directly impacts the helpfulness of this book.
It’s a decent sized book but not on the larger side! Can’t wait to read it; after a quick pass through it seems great!
Love it, definitely a good read.
I loved
I’m only 24 pages into this book and I absolutely love and recommend it!
Let customers speak for us
from 900 reviewsThe book arrived in excellent condition. Great price on a usually expensive book.
NEW BOOK. Trusted seller
I didn’t want to spend a lot for this DSM-5 TR and considered ordering a copied version. This book was the only one that had good reviews and was rated authentic. Item arrived brand new and in condition. Also, the tabs seen in the photo were an additional purchase and I’m very glad I got them. It makes finding things so much easier.
Excellent book to review the industry
Perfect for writing papers
Susan Johnson is the best.I highly recommend her work.
Great information
I am really digging in to this. Even though it is an academic book, I find it highly readable and pragmatic. I am chewing slowly on pieces and am using my attachment TANGO (read the book) with my individual clients to great effect. Previously I would use an attachment frame but it wasn’t as focused and organized. Really an orienting perspective. Of course I am also integrating this precisely written guide with my couples, as I am an EFT coupletherapist. And for classroom teaching the first few chapters alone highlight—and back up with research the reliability of attachment as a unifying frame. I call it my “map for human” and itReally is. Thank you Sur for putting all that research in one place.
To better understand qualitative research, data analysis, validity, etc... this is an outstanding book!
Loved how this book highlights the personality of the trader being the most likely predictor or success or failure. It applies also to many other areas in life including sales.
It's approach towards trading and defining the basic elements of success in the market is exactly what is missing from basically all of the trading books out there.
The media could not be loaded. The beginner traders or traders who’ve been in the business for, however, how long are already out probably know about this book, but primarily for beginners like myself rookies definitely worth the read and a book took the collection!
I really like this amazing idea for renting 👍I got this book for my daughter Collegeneeds ... absolutely amazing idea ,,,,Buying books it’s so expensive ....
I was able to build healthy habits and forget bad habits which has changed my lifestyle.
This was the most interesting read for me this year. The material kept me engaged and doing a ton of self review along the way. This feels like this book will become an operating manual for the rest of my life.Looking forward to continually applying these concepts in my life.
