Douglas uncovers the underlying reasons for lack of consistency and helps traders overcome the ingrained mental habits that cost them money.  He takes on the myths of the market and exposes them one by one teaching traders to look beyond random outcomes, to understand the true realities of risk, and to be comfortable with the "probabilities" of market movement that governs all market speculation.

work on yourself harder than your trades

Loved how this book highlights the personality of the trader being the most likely predictor or success or failure. It applies also to many other areas in life including sales.

Fundamental book

It's approach towards trading and defining the basic elements of success in the market is exactly what is missing from basically all of the trading books out there.

Great read!

The media could not be loaded. The beginner traders or traders who’ve been in the business for, however, how long are already out probably know about this book, but primarily for beginners like myself rookies definitely worth the read and a book took the collection!

I was skeptical, but...

I am a new trader and have had some difficulty dealing with the emotional side of trading. This book is amazing. Mark Douglas does a great job of distilling down how to deal with the emotions that will prevent you from being a successful, consistent trader into distinctly achievable goals. He gives you the why, the how and the process to conquer your emotions and trade like a pro (with less emotion). I never realized how much phycology was involved in day trading until I tried to do it. This book really boils it down into easy-to-follow steps to help take the emotion out of your trading. Highly recommended.
